Lifelong Artist, Master Craftsman, and Orgonite Pioneer
Branch Ellison, forty-six, has been an avid artist and craftsman his entire life. As founder of The Vision Collective at Nevada City’s historic Nail Factory, he unites artists, craftspeople, and entrepreneurs in a dynamic creative hub. A perpetually curious maker, he has become fluent in an ever-expanding range of techniques—resin casting, lapidary, wood sculpting, digital design, 3D printing, silicon mold-making, lost-wax casting, jewelry fabrication, and art-car building.
Since discovering orgonite in 2003, he has pioneered and popularized crystal-energy tools that fuse material innovation with the principle of “Time is Art.” He has led numerous hands-on workshops and, in 2022, founded Antifragile, a free makerspace on the belief that anyone can become an artist with access to tools, space, and instruction. Today he continues to experiment daily while coordinating a growing circle of educators so the next generation can master their hands, play across mediums, and proudly share their own discoveries with the community.

Branch Ellison’s artistic journey is rooted in the landscapes and spiritual traditions that have shaped his life. Born in Washington, D.C., he was raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, by his mother. The vast high desert terrain, world-famous sunsets, dusty skies, sagebrush, cacti, arroyos, and timeless architecture of Santa Fe and Taos left an indelible imprint.
New Mexico’s rural character and magnetic appeal to artists and mystics worldwide ignited his creativity. Growing up amid astrology, Buddhism, shamanism, and Christianity, he developed a deep fascination with the world’s religions and philosophies. He was particularly influenced by the visionary painter Nicholas Roerich and the work of José Argüelles and the 13 Moon Calendar Change movement.
